Uneven wear on RV tires means that there's something wrong with the tires themselves

If your RV tires wear out unevenly, this could mean that your tires are faulty and need to be replaced. However, uneven RV tire wear could also be a sign that you've got a problem with another component of your vehicle such as your suspension or steering. 

You should have your RV inspected to determine the cause of uneven tire wear rather than assuming that you simply need to get new RV tires. 

You can continue using RV tires as long as they have adequate tread

Low tire tread is not the only sign that you need to replace your RV tires. You might need new RV tires even if your tread depth is adequate if you notice issues like difficulty maintaining proper tire pressure, bubbling on the side of your tires, or cracks in the rubber of your tires. 

RV tires are all the same

RV owners need to know that there are many types of tires available for RVs. RV tires can be either ST RV tires or LT RV tires.

ST tires are designed to be used on an RV that's being towed behind a truck. LT RV tires are designed to be used on a heavy vehicle that is a class A, B, or C rig. There are also snow tires available that are designed to be used with RVs. 

RV tires should be inflated to the pressure that's displayed on the sidewall

The sidewall on your RV tire should display the maximum allowable air pressure in your tire. This means that you don't want to exceed the amount of pressure displayed on the sidewall and should probably keep your tire pressure slightly under this amount. 

RV tires don't need to be rotated as frequently as a car's tires do

It's important to realize that RV tires need to be rotated just like any vehicle's tires do. Discuss tire rotation needs with your RV mechanic to determine exactly how often you need to have this RV tire maintenance procedure performed. 

You only need to check RV tire pressure at the beginning of a trip

Checking RV tire pressure frequently is important. It's best to not only check your tire pressure at the beginning of a trip, but also every time you stop for gas or have any type of service performed on your RV.
